The Gagosian Gallery in London Unveils Limited Edition Takashi Murakami T-Shirts

The Gagosian Burlington Arcade gallery in London is making waves in the art world with its latest release – a limited run of 200 t-shirts inspired by Takashi Murakami’s iconic artwork, Rakuchū-Rakugai-zu Byōbu: Iwasa Matabei RIP, 2023–24. This highly anticipated exhibition will feature five new flower paintings that pay homage to Murakami’s traditional Japanese painting training and its emphasis on natural forms.

The t-shirt itself is a perfect representation of the exhibition’s fusion of heritage and contemporary elements. It boasts a camouflage-like Japanese landscape illustration, adorned with Murakami’s signature flower motif. But that’s not all – each t-shirt also comes with a complimentary Murakami.Flowers Collectible Lucky Cat trading card, available in eleven designs, including three ultra-rare ones.

In addition to the t-shirts and other Murakami merchandise, the Gagosian shop will also offer a wide selection of publications, including the new Takashi Murakami: An Arrow through History catalog. And for those who can’t get enough of Murakami’s work, there’s even more to look forward to – the exhibition will coincide with his solo presentation, Japanese Art History à la Takashi Murakami, at Gagosian’s Grosvenor Hill gallery in London.

Mark your calendars for December 10, when the limited edition t-shirts will be released at the Gagosian Shop in Burlington Arcade on a first-come-first-served basis. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of Murakami’s iconic artwork and show off your love for his unique style.
