According to the results of a YouGov poll, which was released in April 2026, a majority of Americans support cannabis legalization. While a stark majority of Americans back medical cannabis use, more than half of them also support recreational pot use. However, they also found that respondents between 45 and 64 years of age are more supportive of cannabis legalization compared to younger respondents.
