Vans Takes on the Great Outdoors with GORE-TEX Old Skool Release
Vans is known for their iconic skate shoes, but they’re taking things to the next level with their latest release. The classic Old Skool model has been reimagined with GORE-TEX material, making it more durable and perfect for outdoor adventures.
At first glance, the GORE-TEX Old Skool looks just like the original, with its suede overlays, white stripe, and signature silhouette. But upon closer inspection, you’ll notice small design details that set this upgraded model apart.
What sets the GORE-TEX Old Skool apart is its functionality. While the original Old Skool was notorious for soaking up water, the GORE-TEX version is water-resistant, keeping your feet dry for longer. But that’s not the only benefit – the durable construction and tenacity of GORE-TEX make it perfect for high-impact activities.
In addition to its functional features, the Old Skool GORE-TEX also features the famous GORE-TEX word mark on a small tab on the lateral collar, as well as a repeating logo print on the lining of the collar. The design is completed with a zig-zag stitch tracing the tips of the GORE-TEX tongues.
The GORE-TEX Old Skool will first be released in Japan on November 30, with a global release to follow. Keep an eye on Hypebeast for updates on the release. Don’t miss your chance to snag a pair of these upgraded, outdoor-ready Vans.
