S’YTE and Junji Ito Team Up for Third Collection Inspired by Uzumaki
S’YTE, the edgy fashion brand known for its unique collaborations, is teaming up with renowned Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito for a third time. This time, the collection is inspired by Ito’s masterpiece, Uzumaki.
The collection, set to be released on November 5 at Shibuya PARCO and online at the Yohji Yamamoto store, features a range of apparel and accessories adorned with custom character artwork by Ito himself.
For those unfamiliar with Uzumaki, it is a horror manga that follows the story of a coastal town obsessed with spirals. The main characters, high school students Kirie Goshima and Shuichi Saito, witness the town’s spiral obsession escalate into grotesque body transformations and psychological horror.
The apparel lineup includes 11 items, such as jackets, coats, and T-shirts, all featuring eerie artwork and iconic scenes from the manga. Standout pieces include a wrap skirt-pant with a graphic of Kirie gazing at ancient ruins.
The accessories range consists of six pieces, including a scarf, tie, and bag, all with original designs. Prices for the collection range from ¥6,930 to ¥68,200 JPY (approximately $45 to $440 USD).
Fans of Ito’s work and fashion enthusiasts alike won’t want to miss out on this highly anticipated collaboration. Mark your calendars for November 5 and get ready to add some spooky style to your wardrobe.
