Germany’s Creative Underground Meets Paris’s Avant-Garde Flair in New Collaboration

Stuggart’s MOMMY I’M SORRY tattoo studio and fashion brand YOUTHOFPARIS have joined forces to redefine what it means to wear your story on your sleeve. This groundbreaking partnership marks MOMMY I’M SORRY’s first foray into the world of high-end fashion, expanding its tattoo-driven identity into the realm of luxury apparel.

Leather Jacket Turned Living Art

At the heart of the collaboration is a one-of-a-kind leather jacket, hand-tattooed over two full days by resident artist Mary (@maryrain.tattoo) and designed by @sonay2c and @youthofparis. Every line and shade was meticulously applied onto the garment, transforming it from a mere fashion piece into a living artwork. Priced at €1,000 ($1,166.05 USD), the jacket has already been snatched up by a collector in Japan, solidifying its status as a coveted piece that merges craftsmanship, culture, and collectibility.

A Visual Narrative of Creative Tension

The accompanying campaign, shot by Stefan (@madebystefo), brings the creative tension of this collaboration to life through a visual narrative that is both familiar and subversive. The jacket was photographed against Berlin’s most iconic landmarks, playing on the city’s “tourism” aesthetic but with a Parisian high-fashion twist. These images were also printed as collectible postcards, distributed at the brand’s pop-up shop, adding a clever analog touch in a digital world and paying homage to the personal and tangible nature of tattoo culture.

Elevating Tattoo Culture to New Heights

This collaboration marks a defining moment for MOMMY I’M SORRY, as they continue their mission to elevate tattoo culture to the same artistic plane as fashion, design, and fine art. By merging the worlds of tattooing and high-end fashion, this partnership challenges traditional notions of what it means to express oneself through clothing and solidifies the idea that tattoos are not just a form of body art, but a form of wearable art.
