Red Wing Heritage Celebrates 120 Years with Timeless Collection
Red Wing Heritage is honoring Red Wing’s 120th anniversary in style with their latest collection. The 120 Year Capsule features three iconic boot styles: the Logger, Pecos, and Engineer. These timeless designs are now available for purchase, with prices ranging from $370 USD to $550 USD. Red Wing has a long history of shoe manufacturing, and their Heritage line brings that legacy to life with a fashionable twist. This week, they are launching a special project to celebrate their milestone anniversary: the 120 Year Capsule. This collection features three stitch-for-stitch reproductions of the original boots, and to emphasize their timelessness, Red Wing has buried a time capsule on their property that will be opened in 120 years.
Leading the collection is the Logger boot, available in “Briar” brown and a sleek oil “Black” colorway. This boot was first created for lumberjacks almost a century ago, and this version pays homage to its 1961 iteration, which was the first to feature a Vibram lug sole. With 10 rows of eyelets and hooks, this boot is designed to keep debris out, and its steel shank maintains its original construction. Next up is the Pecos boot, made with a beige roughout leather. Originally designed in 1958 for ranchers and oil field workers, this boot boasts clean lines and a functional design. Rounding out the collection is the Engineer boot, which made its debut in 1936. Its pull-on design makes it easy to slip on and off, a crucial feature for firefighters and railroad engineers for whom it was originally designed. The stacked heel and neoprene cord outsole have remained unchanged for a century, while the black Klondike leather upper will develop a beautiful patina with wear.
If you want to get your hands on the Red Wing Heritage 120 Year Capsule, it is now available through Red Wing and select retailers. The Pecos and Logger boots are priced at $370 USD each, while the Engineer boot comes in at $550 USD. Don’t miss out on this limited edition collection that celebrates 120 years of Red Wing’s legacy.
