HELIOT EMIL’s Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection: Eigengrau
Close your eyes and you’ll be transported to a world of subtle grey. This unique color, known as “eye gray,” is the inspiration behind HELIOT EMIL’s latest collection. Titled Eigengrau, the Danish brand explores the concept of “seeing details in the light,” as stated in their press release. The starting point for this collection is the quiet grey that appears behind closed eyes, a gateway to introspection and dream states.
What’s the Strangest Dream You’ve Ever Had?
As part of their campaign, HELIOT EMIL asks their community to share their strangest dreams. These responses will form an ever-evolving dream archive, providing a glimpse into the hidden depths of our inner worlds.
Monochrome Looks with a Twist
The collection features predominantly monochrome looks, but don’t be fooled into thinking they lack complexity. HELIOT EMIL’s signature layering technique is used to great effect, with a mostly grayscale palette. However, this season, the complexity comes from the intentional mixing of innovative materials. Think a black knit balaclava-style jumper paired with formal trousers, a slim satin-like necktie under a sheer knit overlay, or multiple technical puffer coats layered to create a whole new silhouette. These combinations showcase the versatility of materials, even within a single color spectrum.
Collaboration with TEXNIC
HELIOT EMIL has also teamed up with TEXNIC, an innovative material company focused on eco-friendly recycling of electric vehicle battery separators into high-performance textiles. The result is a capsule collection featuring five pieces made from recycled battery materials: a jacket, vest, trousers, column skirt, and cinched coat. This collaboration highlights the brand’s commitment to redefining technical clothing as not just utilitarian, but also elegant, functional, and forward-thinking.
