Fendi’s SS26 Collection: A Vibrant Departure from Minimalism

At Milan Fashion Week, creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi unveiled the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, a joyous and youthful lineup that showcased the heritage brand’s mastery of craft and fantasy. This collection marks a new era of creative control for Venturini Fendi, as she embraces a bold and colorful palette that signals a departure from minimalism.

A Kaleidoscope of Color and Floral Motifs

The runway was a vibrant display of deep reds, bright turquoise, and bubblegum pinks mixed with classic neutrals. The collection’s central motif was the flower, brought to life through intricate cut-out daisy petals on jackets and dresses. Delicate, blurred prints on sheer fabrics also featured the floral theme, along with a show-stopping fur coat made from individual florets – a marvel of technical craftsmanship.

Fanciful Twists on Iconic Handbags

The brand’s iconic handbags were given playful new twists in this collection. The Peekaboo, for example, was reimagined with a subtle exterior that concealed a lining of sequins or tinsel – a nod to a woman’s inner sparkle. Other bags featured scrunched leather and wooden beading, adding a tactile and artistic dimension.

A “Relaxed and Colorful Sense of Ease”

Venturini Fendi described the collection as a “relaxed and colorful sense of ease with a romantic elegance,” perfectly capturing the essence of this lineup. It seamlessly fuses intricate workmanship with simple gestures, embodying the new era of Fendi that embraces maximalism over quiet luxury.
