TOGA’s SS26 Collection: Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary

TOGA Archives has done it again with their latest Spring/Summer 2026 collection, titled “Ordinariness, Mediocrity, Versatility.” Inspired by a conversation with the late Claes Oldenburg, this collection takes everyday objects and turns them into unexpected and unique pieces.

The designer, Yasuko Furuta, deliberately moves away from complex and intellectual designs of the previous season, instead focusing on the small moments and details that often go unnoticed. From the shape of melting ice cream to the sadness of a dropped cone, these fleeting images are translated into the silhouettes and fabrics of the collection.

Through subtle reworking and attention to detail, TOGA transforms ordinary garments into pieces that stand out in motion and close inspection. The line seeks to find a balance between utility and banality, creating versatile pieces that can be worn in any context.

With a study in restraint, TOGA’s SS26 collection offers a refreshing take on everyday fashion. It’s a reminder that even the most ordinary things can be made into something quietly memorable and widely wearable.
