Skepta Takes London Fashion Week by Storm with MAINS SS26 Collection
Boy Better Know rapper Skepta is no stranger to the fashion world, and he proved it once again with his latest collection at London Fashion Week. The third season of his label MAINS was a hit, with the unveiling of “EuroTrash” – a 1990s-inspired exploration of style and subculture.
The show was a star-studded event, with the likes of Central Cee and Clint419 in attendance. The runway was transformed into a gritty underground club scene, complete with dirty bins and party flyers. The collection paid tribute to the 1993 late-night British TV show “Eurotrash”, which had a significant influence on Skepta’s teenage years.
Chief designer Mikey Pearce continued to solidify MAINS as a powerhouse in the fashion world, infusing the runway with tongue-in-cheek motifs that are essential to British street culture. The collection featured double-collared shirting, corseted bottoms, and sensually strapped stockings, all adorned with MAINS-branded cigarettes turned into pins. Even Ribena’s iconic blackcurrant drink was given a MAINS makeover on leather outerwear. The playful irreverence continued with gradient “OOPS!” shirts and scribbled shopping-list tops.
Skepta shows no signs of slowing down, and his SS26 collection is proof of that. He’s tapping into the forgotten details that defined Britain’s youth while creating an unforgettable experience on the runway. With Mikey Pearce at the helm, anticipation for next season’s collection is only growing.
