The world-renowned Oktoberfest is just around the corner, and German sneaker boutique BSTN is celebrating in style with a collaboration with adidas. The two brands have joined forces to release a limited-edition footwear collection featuring two festive colourways inspired by traditional lederhosen. The collaboration will be available exclusively at BSTN Munich and online on September 13.
A Festive Fusion of Bavarian and Italian Culture
In recent years, the Oktoberfest has become a popular destination for Italian tourists, earning the festival’s second weekend the nickname “Italian Weekend.” Embracing this cross-cultural connection, adidas and BSTN have created a design that combines the spirit of Oktoberfest with a playful Italian twist. Each sneaker features “Salute” (Italian for “cheers”) branding and a custom crest with the phrase “Brindiamo” (“let’s raise a glass”) – a nod to the festival’s lively atmosphere of family, community, and celebration.
Traditional Bavarian Design with a Modern Twist
While the collaboration pays homage to traditional Bavarian attire, the two colourways – “Dark Brown / Dark Green” and “Taupe / Sage Green” – also incorporate modern elements. The knee-length leather breeches worn at Oktoberfest are reflected in the design, and the subtle embroidery on the heel adds an extra touch of detail inspired by Wiesn culture.
