Yuki Yagi’s Vowels Unveils Fall/Winter 2025 Collection: “Everyday Life”
Japanese designer Yuki Yagi has officially revealed the highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2025 collection for her brand, Vowels. Titled “everyday life,” the collection was first teased earlier this year but has now been formally unveiled with a striking visual campaign shot by renowned photographer Nigel Shafran.
Vowels, known for its constantly evolving and boundary-pushing designs, draws inspiration from traditional Japanese concepts while also incorporating a global perspective. Yagi’s design principles of Shu Ha Ri have allowed her to create a versatile and cross-cultural brand.
The “everyday life” collection showcases Yagi’s focused vision through a worldly lens. While the pieces still feature local craftsmanship techniques and fabrics from Okayama’s Kojima District, they are reinterpreted in a way that is adaptable and relatable to a global audience.
The campaign, shot by London-based photographer Nigel Shafran, captures the essence of the collection with its candid and nostalgic feel. Shafran explains, “Memories of being in the Japanese countryside taken back to London…Yuki’s grandmother’s home-made miso, rolling down dangerously steep sand dunes, then closer to home, working all together on Walthamstow High Street, lurking about, laughing, and everyone collaborating together.”
Experience the new Vowels range in the Shafran-shot campaign and shop the collection now on the brand’s official webstore. Don’t miss out on this unique and culturally-inspired collection.
