Japanese Label Paranoid Unveils FW25 Collection: A Nostalgic Journey of Self-Discovery

Japanese label Paranoid has just dropped its highly anticipated Fall/Winter 2025 collection, and it’s all about the theme of “Return.” Drawing inspiration from the Japanese concept of “帰” (ki), which means to return or go back, the brand invites wearers to take a journey of introspection and revisit their origins and past experiences.

The collection is centered around four key motifs: “情景” (scenery), “帰郷本能” (homing instinct), “冬眠” (hibernation), and “鐘” (bell). Each motif represents a different aspect of the theme of “Return” and is reflected in the designs of the garments. The “情景” (scenery) motif is brought to life through intricate prints that evoke distant memories. The “帰郷本能” (homing instinct) motif is represented by woodland-inspired camouflage and bear embroidery, while the idea of “冬眠” (hibernation) is translated into plush boa and suede accents that symbolize gathering strength. Finally, the “鐘” (bell) motif is expressed through a color palette of teal, green, and dusk tones, as well as tonal hardware inspired by chimes.

Standout pieces from the collection include corduroy jackets in rich, natural colors, sherpa-lined outerwear inspired by hibernating bears, and MA-1 flight jackets paired with matching shorts. Each piece features sculptural, suede-lined “hibernation” pockets, adding a unique touch to the designs.

The collection’s lookbook further reinforces the nostalgic narrative, with retro styling, subdued locations, and models that reflect the act of confronting one’s past. Through its sartorial expressions, Paranoid encourages wearers to reclaim self-awareness and embrace their memories, instincts, and renewal. So why not take a journey of self-discovery with the FW25 collection from Paranoid?
