Update: After over a year of waiting, the highly anticipated Air Jordan 4 “Rare Air” is finally here. Sneakerheads have been eagerly awaiting this release since it was first previewed in October of 2024. Since then, a sample colorway in white has surfaced and the “Rare Air” series has kicked off with successful launches of the Air Jordan 1 High OG and 3. Now, Nike has released official images of the Air Jordan 4 “Rare Air” in preparation for its drop date on July 26. The sneaker will be available on Nike SNKRS and select retailers for an adjusted price of $220 USD.

Update: Unveiled back in September, the Air Jordan 4 “Rare Air” is one of many Jordan Brand releases to keep an eye on in 2025. This new colorway of the sneaker was originally set to drop in February, but has since been pushed back to the summer of 2025. While we await official imagery, a closer look at the pair reveals a sleek design with removable tongue patches featuring a gray one with blue Jumpman branding and a red one with black “23” text. The primarily black upper with blue and red accents remains intact, making this a must-have for any sneaker collection. Stay tuned for more updates and mark your calendars for the release on February 15, 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.

Update: It’s been several months since we first learned about a new “Rare Air” colorway coming to the Air Jordan 4 for 2025. While initially described as sporting laser detailing, our first look at the sneaker confirms that this element is not going to be present. However, the shoe does sport removable tongue patches that were described back in May, with a gray one carrying blue Jumpman branding and a red one with black “23” text. Elsewhere, the combination of a primarily black upper with blue and red accents remains in tact. Release is set for February 15 of next year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Stay tuned for a closer look at the pair and revisit our initial story below for more info.

Diego19eightysix Original Story: While Jordan Brand has provided the Air Jordan 4 a triumphant year for its 35th anniversary, there’s still plenty more releases to come in the future as well. One such look that was initially rumored to release in 2025 was an “Atmosphere Grey” pair that was to sport “Rare Air” detailing. However, it has now been confirmed by zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files that the rumored drop is actually set to be a “Rare Air Laser” colorway instead. A first look at the pair has not yet surfaced, though the mock-up designed by the sneaker leaker duo (pictured above) offers an idea of what to expect. “Black,” “Fire Red,” “Deep Royal Blue,” “Dark Smoke Grey” and”Tech Grey” are said to make up the color arrangement while key detailing is delivered via laser etching at the upper and removable Jumpman tongue patches that cover a “Rare Air” tag. At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not confirmed that a “Rare Air Laser” pair of Air Jordan 4s is coming next year. Stay tuned for confirmation as we expect a first look at the pair to surface later this year, ahead of the sneaker’s release in February of next year via Nike SNKRS.
