Patta x Nike Air Max DN8: The Next Evolution in Footwear Design

Amsterdam’s streetwear powerhouse Patta and Nike are back at it again, pushing the boundaries of footwear design with their latest collaboration. After the success of their “Wave” Air Max 90 drops, Patta co-founder Edson Sabajo has given us a sneak peek at their next joint venture: the highly anticipated Patta x Nike Air Max DN8. This exclusive first look, shared on Sabajo’s Instagram, promises a premium and unique take on Nike’s latest Air innovation.

The Air Max DN8, introduced by Nike in 2025, features Dynamic Air technology that spans the entire length of the foot, utilizing eight pressurized Air tubes for enhanced cushioning, flow, sensation, and motion. Patta’s interpretation of this cutting-edge silhouette brings a refined and elevated aesthetic to the performance-focused model. The materials used in Patta’s version of the Air Max DN8 immediately catch the eye, with shiny patent leather covering most of the upper and tongue, giving the shoe a luxurious finish. This is contrasted by grey mesh panels on the sides, adding both breathability and texture. The toebox, a departure from the traditional mesh, features perforated leather, showcasing Patta’s meticulous attention to detail. Subtle yet impactful branding elements confirm the authenticity of this collaboration, including a Patta-branded carabiner attached to the shoelaces, possibly hinting at a functional or exploratory theme behind the design. The overall look is completed by a two-tone black and silver Max Air-cushioned midsole, emphasizing the shoe’s advanced cushioning system. A distinct blue nylon lace loop adds a pop of color to the otherwise dark and metallic palette.

While an official release date and backstory for the Patta x Nike Air Max DN8 have yet to be announced, Sabajo’s teaser confirms its imminent arrival. Fans can expect this collaboration to hit shelves in the fall of 2025. Stay tuned for more updates on where to buy this highly anticipated release.
