Japanese label MAISON SPECIAL has teamed up with the iconic anime franchise Evangelion for a highly-anticipated collaboration. The collection, which is now available for pre-order, features four graphic tees and three jacquard-knit short-sleeve tops, all showcasing beloved characters and scenes from the series.
Craftsmanship and Originality Take Center Stage
Unlike traditional screen printing methods, MAISON SPECIAL has opted for a more unique approach to this collaboration. Each piece in the collection features hand-drawn illustrations and intricate knit techniques, adding a personal touch to the designs. The graphic tees showcase newly illustrated versions of fan-favorite characters like Rei Ayanami, Units 00/01/02, Pen Pen, and Lilith, all rendered in a distinctive hand-drawn digital aesthetic. The jacquard-knit tops, on the other hand, highlight iconic scenes from the anime in richly textured five-color knits, showcasing the label’s impeccable craftsmanship.
