In honor of Caterpillar Inc.’s 100th anniversary, Cat Footwear has released a new collection featuring three boots that pay tribute to the company’s major engineering achievements. Drawing inspiration from Caterpillar Inc.’s original hardwearing boots, the Centennial Collection puts a playful spin on the brand’s technical portfolio.
The Golden Gate Bridge Boot
The first boot in the collection, named after the iconic landmark, features a modified version of Cat Footwear’s signature Colorado silhouette. The boot is adorned with a wraparound cable system and gold-toned hardware, giving it an industrial edge. A gray perforated midsole adds to the rugged look.
Apollo 11: A Boot Fit for the Moon Landing
The second boot in the collection pays homage to the 1969 moon landing. With a platformed sole, toe cap, and dusty white colorway, the Apollo 11 boot resembles a technical moon boot. Despite its chunky appearance, the boot is surprisingly lightweight, making it perfect for hitting the slopes during ski season.
The Channel Tunnel Shoe: A Hiker’s Dream
The final boot in the collection, named after the famous tunnel that connects England and France, puts a twist on the classic Chelsea boot. It features a light-up midsole and tongue flashlight, perfect for hikers exploring in the dark. The boot also boasts heat-sealed seams and a central zip fastening for added functionality.
