American Sneaker Designer Launches New Collection with 3D-Printed Shoe-Maker Zellerfeld

Sean Wotherspoon, the renowned American sneaker designer, vintage collector, store owner, and digital creator, has once again made waves in the sneaker world with his latest collaboration. After successful partnerships with adidas, Gap, and Porsche, Wotherspoon is now teaming up with 3D-printed shoe-maker Zellerfeld to launch his new collection, Sean Double U.

The collection features two unique silhouettes: a sneaker designed for movement and a mule made for ease. According to Wotherspoon, Sean Double U represents the different sides we all have. The sneaker is for those on the go, while the mule is for those who want to slow down. Wotherspoon explains, “I wanted pieces that move with every version of you.”

What sets this collection apart is not just the stylish designs, but also the innovative production process. Both the sneaker and the mule are 3D-printed from a single recyclable material, without the use of glue, stitching, or factories. To take it a step further, each pair is custom-fitted through a simple foot scan.

Wotherspoon praises Zellerfeld for their unique approach to design, stating, “Most companies tell you what you cannot do. Zellerfeld built a stack where you design what you want, when you want. We could tweak a design in the morning and hold a prototype by the afternoon. That speed changes everything, not just for me, but for every designer who has ideas and nowhere to take them.”

The Sean Double U Sneaker and Mule are now available for purchase on Zellerfeld’s webstore. Each pair is made to order for each customer, making them truly one-of-a-kind. Check out the designs in the gallery above and get your hands on these must-have sneakers and mules.
