STAPLE and Vibram Team Up for a Revolutionary Slide Silhouette
After the success of their CENTRE 0.1 and Varick 0.1 sneakers, STAPLE is back with another game-changing collaboration. This time, they’ve joined forces with Vibram to create a fresh slide silhouette that is sure to turn heads.
The First Exclusive Release of StratX in the US
STAPLE’s latest arrival features the exclusive use of Vibram’s innovative StratX compound, making it the first release of its kind in the US. This material, originally used for a Slam Jam collaboration and later showcased at Pitti Uomo, is molded from rubber sheet and engineered through vacuum-forming to create a unique, feathered upper.
Shaping the Surface, Not Just Adding Design
According to STAPLE founder Jeff Staple, the team wanted to do something different with this design. Instead of simply printing, embroidering, or laser etching the pigeon emblem onto the slide, they decided to shape the surface itself. This was made possible by Vibram’s StratX compound, which allows for a sculptural and durable form.
A Split Black and White Colorway for an Ergonomic Sole
Not only is the upper of the slide undulating and eye-catching, but the sole also features the same innovative material. The split black and white colorway adds to the overall aesthetic, while the ergonomic curved shape provides maximum comfort.
Limited to 50 Pairs, Available at STAPLE’s Flagship Store
This groundbreaking collaboration is limited to only 50 pairs, and will be available starting tomorrow at STAPLE’s flagship store on Mercer Street in New York. Don’t miss your chance to get your hands on a pair of these revolutionary slides.
