Maison Margiela Announces Glenn Martens’ Debut Collection for Haute Couture Week

Belgian designer Glenn Martens is set to make his highly anticipated debut for Maison Margiela during this July’s Haute Couture Week. The French luxury house has confirmed that Martens will begin with a Maison Margiela Artisanal show for Fall 2025, taking place from July 7 to 10th in Paris.

In a statement released to WWD, the brand expressed their excitement for this new chapter, stating, “This marks the beginning of an inspiring new chapter for the maison, rooted in our core creative values and shaped by Margiela’s couture heritage. Under Glenn’s direction, couture will continue to ignite creativity for the brand and drive boundary-pushing designs.”

Maison Margiela was officially recognized as an haute couture house in 2012. Martens was announced as the new creative director for Maison Margiela last January by parent company OTB Group. His debut collection will continue the legacy of John Galliano, who led the house for 10 years prior to Martens. The details of Martens’ artistic direction for the brand are still under wraps.

Martens brings a wealth of experience to Maison Margiela, having previously held the lead creative role at the now-defunct Y/Project for 11 years. Fashion enthusiasts and industry insiders alike are eagerly anticipating his debut collection for the iconic fashion house. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development in the world of haute couture.
