Nike Brings Back Kobe Bryant’s Iconic “81 Points” Colorway for the Kobe 1 Protro in 2026

Nike is keeping the legacy of Kobe Bryant alive by slowly bringing back each of his signature shoes. And according to a new report from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files, the next design to make a comeback is the Kobe 3 Protro. But that’s not all, as the Kobe 1 Protro is also rumored to be returning to shelves soon.

The Return of the “81 Points” Colorway

The first colorway of the Kobe 1 Protro to hit the market will be the iconic “81 Points” pair. This colorway celebrates Bryant’s legendary performance against the Toronto Raptors on January 22, 2006, where he scored a whopping 81 points. The colorway made a comeback in 2019, dropping on the game’s 13th anniversary. And it looks like it will be making a return again in 2026, which marks the 20th anniversary of the historic victory.

What to Expect

While we don’t have a first look at the 2026 version yet, we can expect it to maintain its black, white, purple, and gold color scheme. This colorway has always been a fan favorite, and it’s safe to say that the 2026 version will be just as popular.

Stay Tuned for Updates

At the moment, Nike has not officially confirmed the return of the Kobe 1 Protro. But with rumors circulating and the 20th anniversary approaching, it’s highly likely that we’ll see it back on shelves next year. Keep an eye out for updates, including a first look at the 2026 version of the “81 Points” colorway. And when it does drop, you can expect it to be available on Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
