Spain’s Fashion Scene Gets a Boost with SVD’s Latest Collaboration

Madrid’s premier fashion destination, SVD (sivasdescalzo), is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated Willy Chavarria x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2025 collection this week. The collaboration will be available exclusively at SVD’s Madrid location, with a special in-store pop-up showcasing the collection’s streetwear pieces.

Chavarria’s Chicano Culture Takes Center Stage in New Collection

The Willy Chavarria x adidas Originals collection is a celebration of Mexican “Chicano” culture, with oversized black tracksuits, mid-length shorts, and a retro sweatshirt featuring red adidas branding and rose emblems. The collection also includes the Chavarria Jabbar Low, a dressy version of the iconic 1978 basketball shoe.

SVD’s In-Store Takeover Brings the Collection to Life

As the only retailer in Spain to carry the first drop of the collection, SVD is pulling out all the stops with a striking in-store takeover. The space will feature a duotone color scheme, with red walls, spotlights, and antique candelabra adding to the dramatic and slightly gothic aesthetic. Mannequins and rails will display the ready-to-wear range, creating an immersive experience for customers.

CEO of SVD Shares Excitement for Bold New Collection

Rubén García, CEO of SVD, expresses his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Willy Chavarria’s work challenges convention and speaks to a bold new era of expression. We’re excited to bring this energy to Madrid and create a space where the collection can be experienced beyond the product.”
