Riccardo Tisci Accused of Drugging and Sexually Assaulting Man in 2024

Former Burberry and Givenchy creative director, Riccardo Tisci, has been accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a man in June 2024. The alleged victim, Patrick Cooper, filed a legal complaint in the New York Supreme Court on Tuesday, naming Tisci as the perpetrator.

Cooper, 35, claims that he met Tisci through a mutual friend and went out clubbing with him in Manhattan. According to The Independent, Cooper recounts in the 11-page filing that Tisci discreetly put a drug in his drink at a Harlem restaurant, leaving him unable to defend himself.

The alleged victim states that he was then taken back to Tisci’s apartment in SoHo, where he was held against his will and assaulted. Cooper says he woke up the next morning naked next to Tisci and immediately went to the hospital for a rape kit test and filed a report with the NYPD.

A spokesperson for Tisci has denied the allegations, stating that they are “categorically untrue” and that Tisci looks forward to clearing his name through due process.

Tisci, 50, was appointed as creative director of Givenchy in 2005 and famously worked with musicians like Kanye West and Jay-Z. He then joined Burberry in 2018, where he led a dramatic rebrand. Since stepping down from Burberry in 2022, Tisci has relaunched his namesake label and collaborated with Nike in 2025.

As of now, Tisci and his spokespersons have not released an official statement on the pending case.
