The Story mfg. x ASICS GEL-VENTURE 6 will now be available in two new colorways – one in earthy browns and the other in a soft lilac and ecru mix. These colors reflect Story mfg.’s love for natural tones, inspired by nature and everyday fabrics.
Unique Design Inspired by Local Skaters
One of the standout features of this collaboration is the woven-style lacing, inspired by a memory of co-founder Saeed. As a teenager in Baghdad, he was captivated by the creative way local skaters styled their laces. To pay tribute to that, each pair comes with two sets of laces, allowing wearers to personalize their sneakers.
Join the Celebration at the London Pop-Up Event
To celebrate the release, Story mfg. is hosting a two-day event at The Truman Brewery in East London. Visitors will be treated to a vegan cookie, oat milk, a sewing needle and a scrap of Story mfg. fabric. Guests can sit, stitch and contribute their embroidery to a communal Geodome centerpiece, a growing fabric project that represents creativity and collaboration. The event runs from April 18-19. The Story mfg. x ASICS GEL-VENTURE 6 arrives in two earthy colorways: “Reddish Brown” and “Vanilla Violet Quartz.” Both feature breathable mesh uppers overlaid with gingham check panels, giving the trail-inspired silhouette a nostalgic, handcrafted look. A standout double-lacing system – with vertically woven gingham laces – adds a quirky, textured twist. Tonal midsoles and ASICS’ iconic stripes tie the design together. Branding is playfully split: the Story mfg. logo appears on the right tongue, while the ASICS logo stays on the left. Classic GEL-VENTURE 6 detailing at the heel and a Gel-cushioned outsole round out the design with comfort and support.
