Dive into the World of Rick Owens with the All-New Exhibit in Paris this Summer

Get ready to immerse yourself in the world of renowned American designer Rick Owens with his highly anticipated exhibit at the Palais Galliera in Paris. Titled “Temple of Love,” this retrospective display curated by Owens himself will feature 30 brutalist cement sculptures and a recreation of his California bedroom shared with his wife Michèle Lamy.

As the artist director of his own exhibit, Rick Owens will take center stage, showcasing his life and career through a variety of mediums. From the facade of the building to the garden where statues will be wrapped in sequins-embroidered fabric, the Palais Galliera team describes the experience as “unprecedented” in scale and scope. According to the museum, the exhibit is a “meditation on love, beauty, and diversity” presented in a monumental setting.

But the sequins-wrapped statues are just the beginning. The retrospective will also feature over 100 fashion silhouettes, personal documents, videos, installations, and works by Gustave Moreau, Joseph Beuys, and Steven Parrino. Visitors will get a glimpse into Rick Owens’ early career as a pattern-cutter in Los Angeles before launching his eponymous label in 1994. The exhibit will showcase how he drew inspiration from 1930s glamor, underground culture, and a wide range of references including Joris-Karl Huysmans, contemporary art, and early Hollywood films, such as the biblical epics by Cecil B. DeMille.

The “Temple of Love” Rick Owens exhibit will open at the Palais Galliera on June 28 and run until January 4, 2026. Don’t miss your chance to experience this monumental display of love, beauty, and diversity. Visit the Palais Galliera at 10 Av. Pierre 1er de Serbie, 75116 Paris, France.
