Jalen Brunson: From Rookie to All-Star with the Knicks

Jalen Brunson has quickly become a household name in the NBA, especially since joining the New York Knicks. The young star is expected to earn his second All-NBA honor this season, thanks to his impressive average of 26 points per game. But it’s not just his on-court performance that has caught the attention of fans and critics alike – Nike Basketball has also taken notice of Brunson’s rise to fame.

The popular brand has featured Brunson in various campaigns, including the NYC-themed Nike Dunk High “Wu-Tang” lookbook from last year. But that’s not all – Brunson has also had the opportunity to debut new Nike Kobe PEs on the court. At the NBA All-Star Game, he sported a Kobe 5 Protro “Year of the Mamba” PE, and paid tribute to his alma mater, Villanova, with a Kobe 4 Protro “The Nattys” PE.

Most recently, Brunson helped lead the Knicks to a home victory against the Phoenix Suns while wearing a new Nike Kobe 5 Protro “The Joke’s On You” PE. This special colorway is inspired by the Joker, featuring his iconic color palette of purple, neon green, gray, and red. The shoe also has subtle red splatters, adding a unique touch to the design.

In an Instagram post, Brunson made it clear that this is a PE, meaning it is not currently planned for release. However, if Nike Basketball decides to make it available to the public, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. The brand continues to impress with new and exciting releases for the Nike Kobe franchise, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store next.

Stay tuned for more updates on Jalen Brunson and his journey from rookie to All-Star with the Knicks. And who knows, maybe we’ll see this eye-catching Nike Kobe PE on the shelves someday.
