Packer and Timberland Team Up for Southwest-Inspired Boat Shoe

Streetwear retailer Packer has joined forces with Timberland to give the classic 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe a new, adventurous twist. The result? The “Santa Fe” model, a men’s footwear silhouette that pays homage to the Southwest region of America and its rich Indigenous cultures.

With a nod to the area’s “legacy of craftsmanship,” the shoe features a mix of beige and tan suede, reminiscent of the textiles used by Native American tribes and the styles that emerged in the Old West. But the most striking detail is the braided leather lace, which resembles a bolo tie adorned with a turquoise stone. This brilliant blue gem has been a staple in Native American material culture for thousands of years.

The bolo tie itself has its roots in the 1930s, originating from the Zuni, Hopi, and Navajo tribes. The shoe also incorporates silver hardware, including textured eyelets and prominent lace ends, adding to its Americana flair. And with a tan lugged outsole for extra traction, the “Santa Fe” model is not only stylish but also functional.

Available exclusively at the Packer web store, the Packer x Timberland 3-Eye Lug Handsewn Boat Shoe “Santa Fe” retails for $198 USD. So if you want to add a touch of Southwest-inspired fashion to your wardrobe, be sure to snag a pair before they’re gone.
