Filmarks Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Battle Royale with Collaborative Collection and Re-Release of Iconic Movie

Japanese dystopian action film, Battle Royale, is turning 25 and Filmarks is celebrating with a special capsule collection and a re-release of the iconic movie directed by Kinji Fukasaku.

The collection features three T-shirts, all in a bold black color, paying tribute to the film. The first shirt features the words “BR Law” written by the class teacher Kitano on the blackboard, followed by a scythe, a weapon used by character Mitsuko, and a simple design with the film’s prologue.

Battle Royale, released in 2000, is based on the 1999 novel of the same name by Koushun Takami. The story follows a junior high school class randomly chosen to participate in a deadly game created by a totalitarian Japanese government to control juvenile delinquency. Only one winner will survive.

The collection is available for pre-order on the official webstore from April 1st to April 7th. In addition, Battle Royale will return to Japanese theaters on April 4th for its 25th anniversary. Don’t miss out on this collaboration between Battle Royale and Filmarks.
