UNDERCOVER and nonnative Team Up for Dreamy SS25 Collection
Japanese fashion powerhouse UNDERCOVER has once again joined forces with nonnative for a highly-anticipated collaboration, bringing us a stunning collection of exclusive pieces for the Spring/Summer 2025 season. This latest release, part of UNDERCOVER’s “Lost Cloud” lineup, features updated designs created in partnership with outdoor brand Gramicci and footwear brand rig.
Designed by the visionary Jun Takahashi, the “Lost Cloud” collection is all about lightweight materials, comfort, and a fusion of different cultural influences. This season, UNDERCOVER takes a bold step by incorporating elements of womenswear into their menswear line, resulting in a fluid and androgynous style that breaks traditional fashion boundaries.
Inspired by the dreamy sounds of Australian band Glass Beams, who performed at the collection’s showcase, the pieces have an ethereal and almost surreal quality. Adding to its unique visual identity, the collection also features artwork by Takahashi himself, alongside Italian artist Robert Bossisio.
Among the lineup of reworked pants and footwear, Gramicci’s Climber Easy Pants stand out with their slimmer fit, while still retaining the brand’s signature gusseted crotch and webbing belt. Crafted from high-quality European linen, the fabric is dyed and processed in small batches for a rich texture. Other design updates include an original D-ring, a zippered back pocket, and a special collaboration label inside the lining.
The Walker Easy Shorts follow the same design approach and come in classic black, natural, and navy colors. As for footwear, the collection introduces a fresh take on rig’s KMBA sandals, now available in black, navy, ivory, and beige. These sleek and minimalist sandals feature a single round strap and adjustable Velcro fastenings, as well as a comfortable three-layered sole for everyday wear. The latest version also adds studded detailing on the Velcro straps, giving the collection an edgy touch.
