Calvin Klein Takes on Shapewear Market with New Collection

When you hear the name Calvin Klein, you probably think of their iconic underwear campaigns featuring famous celebrities plastered on billboards. But after dominating the designer underwear scene for nearly four decades, the brand is now venturing into a new territory: shapewear.

The brand’s latest collection is their first foray into the shapewear market, and to celebrate the launch, they have enlisted the help of fashion photographer Charlotte Wales and model Eve Hewson. The collection features a range of true sculpting undergarments and fashion shapewear pieces that can be worn as clothing, all inspired by the brand’s signature “sensual simplicity.”

From biker short bodysuits to seamless thongs to lace-trimmed one-pieces, each garment in the collection boasts four key components: Second Skin Smoothing, Stay Put Mesh, Stay Put Stretch, and Secure Sculpt.

This launch comes on the heels of the newly announced joint venture between Skims and Nike, which is just the latest in Skims’ rapid expansion. With a valuation of nearly $4 billion USD, Skims has also partnered with the 2024 Paris Olympics, the WNBA, and most recently, The North Face. Until now, Skims has dominated a large share of the shapewear market, but now Calvin Klein is ready to compete.

The new shapewear collection from Calvin Klein is available online now, with prices ranging from $34 for a “Second Skin Smoothing Thong” to $104 for a “Stay-Put Stretch Slip.” Don’t miss your chance to try out these innovative and stylish pieces for yourself.
