Luxury is Relative: Moschino’s Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

When it comes to luxury, it’s all about perspective. And Moschino knows this all too well, as they boldly declared on a shirt during their Fall/Winter 2025 runway show. In a fashion world that can often take itself too seriously, Moschino is there to inject some much-needed fun and playfulness.

Leading up to the show, Moschino teased their audience with clips on social media, showcasing their signature aesthetic of “trash chic.” This unique blend of high fashion and humor has solidified Moschino as the go-to brand for those looking for a good time.

Creative director Adrian Appiolaza has always had a clear vision for the brand, and it shows in their latest collection. Instead of following the trend of commercialization, Moschino under Appiolaza’s leadership has stayed true to their roots of creating a dreamlike world through fashion. The looks are a mix of different eras, with layers and patterns that give off a thrift store vibe.

The runway was filled with a diverse cast of characters, from models in babydoll dresses transformed into life-size paper dolls to a couture chef carrying a Pepperidge Farm-inspired Milano cookie bag. Accessories were a hodgepodge of items, from realistic spaghetti clutches to costume pearls and even a polaroid of a jeweled brooch pinned across the chest.

But amidst all the fun and whimsy, Appiolaza reminds us to be mindful of fashion’s waste. The closing look, a t-shirt dress with the message “Save our Sphere,” serves as a reminder that fashion can be both enjoyable and responsible. With Moschino’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, you can get lost in a fantasy world while still keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground.
