Canadian Twin Designers Dean and Dan Caten Celebrate 30 Years of Provocative Fashion with Dsquared2 at Milan Fashion Week
It’s been three decades of daring, rebellious, and seductive fashion from the dynamic duo behind Dsquared2, Dean and Dan Caten. And to mark this monumental milestone, the Canadian twin designers pulled out all the stops at Milan Fashion Week with a star-studded runway show that fused music, pop culture, and high-octane fashion.
The venue, inspired by a nightclub in Milan, was transformed into a New York warehouse under the name “Dsquared2 Bros Co.” And the party that followed was nothing short of unforgettable fashiontainment.
The show opened with a bang as Doechii emerged from an armored tank filled with dollar bills, lighting up a joint from her technical wrist pocket for the cameras at the end of the catwalk. Fresh off her Best New Artist win at the Grammys, the Swamp Princess’ walk felt like a victory lap, met with roaring applause from the audience.
As the show continued, an entourage of vehicles dropped off a star-studded lineup of models, including Naomi Campbell, Alex Consani, Irina Shayk, Amelia Gray, Tyson Beckford, Alton Mason, Isabeli Fontana, and NLE Choppa. The collection showcased Dsquared2’s signature styles, from hyper-masculine outerwear to tough Western fits, double-take-worthy denim, girly feather pieces, and skin-revealing showtime ensembles.
But what made this collection truly special were the collaborations with labels like Magliano, Vaquera, Bettter, Ducati, and Kiss, which brought new life to archival Dsquared2 pieces.
The show ended with a bang as Brigitte Nielsen, disguised as a police officer, walked the runway with the Caten brothers in handcuffs. Breaking free from their shackles, Dean and Dan led the final party, accompanied by a performance of “Alter Ego” by Doechii and JT, surrounded by the all-star cast.
That’s showbiz, another signature of Dsquared2. Check out the Fall/Winter 2025 collection in the gallery above and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of Milan Fashion Week.
