Luxury Fashion Takes on Fragrance: Olfactory Signals 01 Exhibition at 10 Corso Como
Get ready to indulge your senses in a whole new way. Luxury fashion is constantly pushing the boundaries and seeking new ways to expand our sensory experiences. And now, it’s fragrance’s time to shine. Beginning February 20, Milanese retailer 10 Corso Como and London-based creative agency System Preferences have joined forces for an in-store exhibition titled Olfactory Signals 01 on the newly redesigned first floor.
According to System Preferences, the project aims to redefine the role of fragrance in contemporary culture through installations, events, and collaborations with artists and designers. And what better way to celebrate the power of scent than by coinciding with the 15th installment of Esxence – The Art Perfumery Event, an annual celebration of fragrance.
The exhibition features a diverse range of hand-curated fragrances from some of the world’s most popular perfumers. Expect to find scents like Ode Ona, Borntostandout, D.S. & Durga, Arpa Studios, and the newly launched perfume line from Chopova Lowena.
But it’s not just about the fragrances themselves. Olfactory Signals 01 also includes an installation presented in collaboration with Berlin-based artist Illya Goldman Gubin and Norwegian scent artist Sissel Tolaas. Titled IGGSBT, the room is filled with statue-sized rolls of scented paper, challenging “the dominance of visual stimuli in our world” and elevating the senses to a whole new level.
The exhibition is open to the public from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm, but that’s not all. Over the weekend, 10 Corso Como will also host two talks in the space. Today, join Gubin and Tolaas in conversation, and tomorrow, hear from Elise By Olsen, founder and curator of The International Library of Fashion Research in Oslo, and Creative Director Morteza Vaseghi.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the intersection of luxury fashion and fragrance at Olfactory Signals 01. Your senses will thank you.
