A.P.C. and Brain Dead Reunite for 10th Anniversary Capsule Collection
In honor of Brain Dead’s 10th anniversary, A.P.C. has joined forces with the LA-based brand to create a collection of elevated basics centered around A.P.C.’s signature raw denim. The collaboration features the iconic 00 Trucker Jacket and 00 Denim Pants, both adorned with co-branded leather patches on the back and crafted from raw selvedge denim.
The jacket draws inspiration from classic American workwear, with alternating silver and bronze details and red selvedge accents. The pants boast a wide-legged fit and high waist, completing the rugged yet stylish look.
To complement the sturdy indigo set, the collection also includes a raw denim bucket hat and tote bag, featuring a logo that combines Brain Dead’s emblem with A.P.C.’s bubble lettering. Rounding out the collection are a plain white tee and a heather gray raglan hoodie, both featuring the co-branded emblem in varying sizes.
Unlikely Partners, But a Perfect Match
Although an unlikely pairing, A.P.C. and Brain Dead have been collaborating since 2019. Brain Dead first made an appearance on A.P.C.’s FW19 runway show, showcasing a range of jackets, vests, and hoodies with retrofuturistic graphics. In 2021, the two brands reunited for their “Unity” tote bag, with proceeds going towards the Luminous Sound Fund, which supports equal access to music education and resources.
Now, in 2022, the two labels have come together once again to celebrate A.P.C.’s 35th anniversary and Brain Dead’s 10th year in business. The latest A.P.C. capsule will be available on February 25 at 10 am PT on the Brain Dead web store and physical boutiques, as well as on the A.P.C. web store and select locations.
