Former British Vogue Editor-in-Chief Launches New Media and Entertainment Company: EE72
Edward Enninful, the former editor-in-chief of British Vogue, has announced the launch of his new global media and entertainment company, EE72. Co-founded with his sister Akua Enninful, the project will draw on Enninful’s extensive experience in the industry, including his influential roles at i-D, Vogue, Vogue Italia, and W Magazine. While the exact details of the venture are still under wraps, the brand’s Instagram page, which debuted the project on Monday, promises “authentic representation and storytelling that speaks to today’s interconnected world.”
EE72 aims to provide “boundary-pushing content, immersive experiences, and cutting-edge products that inspire” through partnerships, brands, and creators. “EE72 represents a natural progression of the foundation I’ve built my career on,” Enninful explains in a statement. “We’re creating a space where creativity transcends boundaries, where diverse voices don’t just exist – they lead. Our mission is to reshape how we see and understand each other, building bridges across cultures and communities.”
Enninful previously left British Vogue in February 2024, with his final cover featuring over 40 industry legends, including original supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington. This was a fitting tribute to his impact after nearly seven years as editor-in-chief of the publication.
In addition to the launch of EE72, Enninful has also been appointed to the host committee for the upcoming Met Gala, themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which will take place on May 5. He will advise alongside the larger committee and this year’s co-chairs Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour.
Enninful’s new venture and involvement in the Met Gala further solidify his position as a leading figure in the fashion and media industries.
