Saint Laurent: More Than Just Fashion

Saint Laurent has evolved into a powerhouse brand that goes beyond just designing clothes. With their latest collaboration, creative director Anthony Vaccarello and renowned chef Peter Park have joined forces to create an immersive shopping and culinary experience in the heart of Paris.

Frequented by A-list celebrities like Justin Bieber, the Kardashians, and Dua Lipa, this collaboration marks Sushi Park’s first permanent restaurant outside of its Los Angeles flagship. Opening on February 21 at the newly renovated Saint Laurent RIVE DROITE boutique, this culinary installation is set to elevate the luxury shopping experience in Paris’s first arrondissement.

But this is not the first time Saint Laurent has expanded beyond fashion. Last year, they opened a bookstore and gallery space, BABYLONE, in the seventh arrondissement, personally curated by Vaccarello himself. And to celebrate the announcement of the Sushi Park collaboration, the brand released a short film on Instagram, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti and featuring familiar faces like Lourdes Leon and Saint Levant.

This film, produced under Saint Laurent Productions, showcases the curated interiors of the new space, featuring dark sculptural furniture and exclusive ceramics by Professor Kim. This production company, launched in 2023, has already worked with renowned directors like David Cronenberg and Paolo Sorrentino, and even co-produced the Oscar-nominated film Emilia Perez with director Jacques Audiard.

The Sushi Park collaboration and BABYLONE are just a part of Saint Laurent’s efforts to diversify the shopping experience. Other luxury brands have also ventured into the culinary and literary worlds, such as Jacquemus’s collaboration with Restaurant Caviar Kaspia, Gucci’s Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Florence, Bottega Veneta’s curated Fanzines, and Miu Miu’s film anthology Women’s Tales. These projects reflect the industry’s attempt to create immersive experiences for customers as traditional retail evolves.

Sushi Park Paris at RIVE DROITE will be open from Tuesdays to Saturdays starting February 21. Reservations can be made through phone, email, or online at Sushi Park Paris. Don’t miss out on this unique and luxurious experience.
