Hip-hop fans, get ready to add another record to Drake’s long list of achievements. The Toronto rapper and his frequent collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR have officially set a new record on Apple Music with their joint album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.
The Biggest R&B/Soul Album in Apple Music History
According to Billboard, the 21-track album has broken the record for the biggest R&B/soul album in the history of Apple Music by first-day streams worldwide. While no specific numbers were provided, it’s safe to say that the album’s release on Valentine’s Day was a huge success.
The Boy and PND Team Up Once Again
This isn’t the first time Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have joined forces. The two have a long history of collaborations, with PND even signing to Drake’s label OVO Sound in 2013. $ome $exy $ongs 4 U marks their first full-length album together since 2024’s P4.
Featuring Some Familiar Faces
In addition to the dynamic duo, the album also features guest appearances from Pim, Chino Pacas, and Yebba. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Drake and PND project without production work from their frequent collaborators, including Noel Cadastre, Gordo, and Jordan Ullman.
What’s Next for The Boy and PND?
With this record-breaking album under their belts, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s next for Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Will they continue to dominate the charts and break even more records? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure: these two are a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
