Coach Returns to the Park Avenue Armory for Fall 2025 Show, Embracing Gen Z and New York City Vibes
On Monday afternoon, the iconic fashion brand Coach made a triumphant return to the Park Avenue Armory for its highly anticipated Fall 2025 show. The event was a true spectacle, inspired by the vibrant energy of New York City and aimed directly at the eyes of Gen Z.
Brooklyn Band Nation of Language Sets the Tone
As the show began, the sounds of Brooklyn band Nation of Language filled the historic venue’s Wade Thompson Drill Hall. The space had been transformed into a Coach wonderland, complete with a faux brick facade, animal-shaped bags, and oversized coin purses. The front row was filled with A-list celebrities like JT, Halle Bailey, and Olivia Ponton, all eagerly awaiting the latest fashion manifesto from creative director Stuart Vevers.
Street Style Meets High Fashion
On the runway, a youthful cast of models strutted their stuff in looks that could have been plucked straight from the streets of Manhattan. This was no coincidence, as the collection drew inspiration from the iconic 1995 film “Kids” by Larry Clark, a favorite of Vevers. The pieces included distressed leather jackets, cheetah-print coats, ’90s-inspired denim, graphic tops, and oversized trousers, all paying homage to the film’s portrayal of New York’s rebellious youth culture.
Coach Stays True to Its Roots
Vevers explained, “My vision for Fall was to ground the collection in all the things that make Coach so distinct as a fashion house: our heritage materials and palette, our commitment to repurposing and ‘re-loving’ secondhand garments through craft, and our belief in the power of community and self-expression.” The collection also featured new additions to Coach’s popular knitwear category, including argyle and Lurex knits. Comfort was also a key element, with washed and worn-in hoodies, sweatshirts, and T-shirts making an appearance.
Leather Goods and Fluffy Slippers Steal the Show
Of course, no Coach show would be complete without their signature leather goods. This season, the brand introduced a new archive-inspired Twin Pocket Bag, as well as playful stuffed animal charms adorning their bags. Fluffy slippers in the shape of bunnies were also a standout, a nod to Vevers’ own children and their favorite toys.
A Clear and Cohesive Collection
Vevers summed up the collection by saying, “There’s a clear, cohesive idea here in terms of materials, silhouette, and styling, and that comes from knowing who we are and what we stand for.” The Fall/Winter 2025 collection is a true reflection of Coach’s identity and values.
