Only NY Teams Up with UMG’s Bravado for Beastie Boys Collaboration
New York City’s own Only NY has joined forces with UMG’s Bravado for an epic collaboration that pays tribute to the iconic Beastie Boys. The collection, illustrated by Only NY’s co-founder Micah Belamarich, centers around the group’s To the 5 Boroughs album, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary in June 2024.
Graphic T-Shirts, Streetball Caps, and More
The capsule collection features a range of items, including graphic T-shirts that honor the Beastie Boys’ roots in NYC, a photo T-shirt shot in the Lower East Side, and a tribute to the late Adam “MCA” Yauch and his love for basketball. The standout piece is a Streetball cap that boasts similar design elements to the basketball T-shirt.
A Full-Circle Moment for Only NY
For the co-founders of Only NY, Micah and Julian, this collaboration holds a special significance. “Growing up in New York, Beastie Boys played a key role in our music rotation. I remember my group of friends reciting lines of their verses in the school yard and on the train as we moved through the city,” they said in a statement. “This collaboration is a full-circle moment for us – creating something intimate and special for our customers and for fellow Beastie Boys fans who may not have heard of us.”
