Russian Designer Gosha Rubchinskiy Ends Collaboration with YEEZY

After nearly two years as the head of design for YEEZY, Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy has officially terminated his collaboration with the streetwear brand founded by Kanye West. This news comes after Rubchinskiy joined YEEZY in 2023, following West’s loss of his adidas collaboration due to a series of controversial tweets.

Rubchinskiy, who has faced his own controversies, including allegations of inappropriate behavior towards a minor, joined YEEZY with the goal of helping to rebuild its reputation. However, in a recent Instagram post, he announced that his partnership with the brand has come to an end.

In his statement, Rubchinskiy expressed his gratitude to West and the entire YEEZY team for the experience, but stated that the December drop would be his last. He also hinted at a relaunch of his own brand, saying, “As I move forward, I continue to develop my creative vision, exploring new projects and evolving past ideas in ways that feel true to me. In due time, I will share more about what’s next for the upcoming GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY brand relaunch.”

While there is no further information available about Rubchinskiy’s relaunch, stay tuned to Hypebeast for updates on the matter. As always, we will keep you informed on all the latest news in the world of fashion and streetwear.
