Berlin Fashion Label SF1OG Takes Us Back to the Late 2000s at Berghain for Fall 2025 Collection
In a city known for its cutting-edge fashion and legendary nightlife, Berlin-based label SF1OG is making waves with its latest collection that celebrates both nostalgia and the future. With a strong commitment to sustainability, gender inclusivity, and impeccable craftsmanship, SF1OG is setting the standard for fashion in the years to come.
For their Fall 2025 collection, the label looked back to the late 2000s, specifically 2008 when Kanye West brought back the iconic Shutter Shades. Drawing inspiration from the indie sleaze revival that dominated the legendary nightclub Berghain, SF1OG’s co-director Jacob Lagemeyere explained, “We wanted to explore the concept of uniforms, but not in a military sense. We were more interested in the uniforms of music subcultures, especially the ones my friends and I were a part of in the late 2000s as teenagers. We were fans of everything from electronic artists to indie rock bands.”
The result is a collection that features open blazers revealing bare skin, sheer tops with asymmetrical cuts, low-waisted skinny trousers, leather rocker pants, and furry neckties. These pieces would surely pass the notoriously strict bouncers at Berghain. And for a direct nod to the era, SF1OG collaborated with Berlin-based 3D design studio NEWFORMAT to create their own version of the infamous Shutter Shades.
For those wondering, SF1OG stands for “Seitenflügel 1. Obergeschoss,” which translates to “side wing first floor” in German. This is a nod to founder Rosa Marga Dahl’s one-room flat where the brand first began in 2019. And now, just six years later, SF1OG is making a name for itself at Berlin Fashion Week, showcasing their collection inside the city’s most renowned club.
