Kiko Kostadinov’s Fall 2025 Collection: A Raw and Asymmetrical Shift in Style
The fashion world was abuzz with excitement as Kiko Kostadinov unveiled his Fall 2025 collection in London. The Bulgarian designer, known for his minimalistic approach, surprised everyone with a newfound sense of rawness in his designs. The collection featured roomier, textured, and uneven garments, marking a significant shift in Kostadinov’s style dialect.
Asymmetry was the key element of the collection, with intentionally off-kilter cuts seen in coats, tops, and trousers. The use of composite silhouettes created the illusion of layering, adding depth and dimension to the pieces. Kostadinov drew inspiration from classic military garb from Hungary and Bulgaria, evident in the strictness of the line’s stiffer, formal constructions.
The collection also featured vibrant pops of color, with bright orange, yellow, and cerulean hues dominating the color story. These bold shades were complemented by intricate coin and trinket-inspired illustrations, embroidered with extreme subtlety on coats. Check patterns were also a prominent feature, boldly claiming trousers with apron-like draping.
Accessories played a significant role in the collection, with big leather belts, black leather gloves, and crossbody bags adding a touch of edginess to the looks. The models also debuted a new collaboration with Asics, paying homage to the Japanese sports label’s tabi marathon shoes from the 1950s.
Despite the shift in style, Kostadinov’s menswear remained modest, staying true to his unpretentious nature. In fact, his show notes opened with a quote from the 1988 Hungarian film Damnation, perfectly summing up the phenomenon of his work: “I cling to nothing, but everything clings to me.”
