But it’s not just the designs that make this collection stand out. Yamamoto also chose to use regular people as models, stating that he is bored with the conventional fashion week ones. “What you saw were ordinary artists, singers, and painters – they are always attractive,” he says.
In true Yamamoto fashion, the collection also features bold statements and messages, such as “Despair is the conclusion of the fool” and “Sadness and suffering are the flowers of life.” This adds a thought-provoking element to the already stunning collection.
