Mike Amiri has once again captured the essence of Hollywood with his latest collection. The designer transformed his show into a fantasy lounge bar, aptly named Club AMIRI, transporting attendees into a cinematic re-imagining of the city’s iconic nightlife. This season, Amiri pays homage to old Hollywood glam, embracing its timeless allure and unmistakable spirit.
In a statement, Amiri explains, “Hollywood is a place of dreams, where people come to build and rebuild. That’s the essence of Los Angeles. This collection is a celebration of my home city, a tribute to Hollywood and Los Angeles. It’s a collection filled with optimism, dreams, and love.”
The collection takes us on a journey through the city’s vibrant nightlife, dressed in the slickest styles of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Flared trousers and sequined suits add extra shine to the dance floor, reflecting the disco lights. The laid-back American persona is perfectly complemented by the polished and formal after-dark dressing. The tailoring is sharp and precise, with the signature AMIRI silhouette featuring fine wools adorned with crystal embroideries. The color palette is delicate and muted, featuring shades of merlot, burgundy, green, golden espresso brown, and more.
