WHIZ LIMITED’s Spring/Summer 2025 Collection: Embracing the Unpredictable
Get ready for a fashion revolution with WHIZ LIMITED’s latest offering for Spring/Summer 2025. The brand, led by designer Hiroaki Shimono, is taking on the unpredictable weather conditions of today and turning it into a design inspiration for their new collection, aptly named “THE FUTURE IS MINE.”
Shimono’s vision for the collection is all about pushing boundaries and redefining how we layer our clothing. The range features a mix of patterns, textures, and bold colors, staying true to the WHIZ LIMITED aesthetic while also offering a sense of nostalgia for long-time supporters of the brand.
“I always start by designing something I want to wear,” Shimono shared on the WHIZ LIMITED blog. “This time, I had a vague image in mind, and the words were American casual, work, and beauty. As I was designing, I realized that these elements were transforming into a European atmosphere, almost like a European hip-hop style. It’s a sophisticated take on workwear, with a strong contrast between functional and elegant materials and elaborate and warm pieces.”
The collection is led by a range of jackets, including the weather-proof TRANSPORT coverall jacket and pants. The jacket features a chest pocket and sleeves made from coated ripstop fabric, with patching details adding a touch of style. Another standout piece is the waterproof hoodie, which can be transformed into a mask to cover your nose with a simple pull of the drawstring.
The TEK jacket also boasts a waterproof design, with a bright yellow shell made from a matte, water-repellent nylon. The GRID jacket takes inspiration from sukajan jackets with its diamond quilted stitching, while also incorporating elements of a biker jacket with its ribbed hem and outdoor jacket-inspired cuffs.
