EGONLAB Fall/Winter 2025 Collection: “S4LEM” Plunges into a World of Witch Hunts

The latest collection from EGONLAB, “S4LEM,” takes inspiration from the infamous Salem Witch Trials to denounce exclusionary mechanisms in today’s society. Led by designers Florentin Glémarec and Kévin Nompeix, the outspoken fashion label tackles themes of struggle and resilience through the manipulation of traditional materials, silhouettes, and textures.

The collection features denim trousers with a unique “wet effect” achieved through an induction technique similar to melted wax. Formal and outerwear pieces are adorned with dented and cracked buttons, while belts are used to illustrate restraint by wrapping the body in atypical routes.

Witchy elements can be found in the collection’s details, such as bat flowers (also known as witch flowers) appearing as voluminous leather fringes on workwear coats and avant-garde gowns. The Ouroboros serpent, a symbol of rebirth, is also incorporated into the line’s color story, which includes shades of brown, black, and purple with hints of powdery pink, light beige, and blood red. Hair is used as a key accessory, holding together pearl necklaces to represent the close bond between humans and their clothing.

Notably, the collection also includes a rockstar capsule in collaboration with Zadig&Voltaire, featuring leather tops and trousers with vintage studs. Thierry Gillier, the founder of Zadig&Voltaire, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “When I discovered EGONLAB, I immediately saw the potential synergies between our two identities. We share that free-spirited, rebellious mindset. It’s our way of paving our own path. We have a deep connection with artists and musicians, a community that inspires us and fuels our creativity. Together, we love to challenge conventions, surprise, provoke thought, and spark desire.”
