Inside Allianz MiCo: Zegna Takes Milan Fashion Week to the Australian Outback

On Monday afternoon, the Allianz MiCo was transformed into a lush, grassy hillside reminiscent of the Australian landscape. This was the perfect setting for Zegna’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, inspired by the brand’s founder Ermenegildo Zegna and his love for the country’s finest wool.

The collection, aptly named “Vellus Aureum” after the special thread created from the finest fleece, was showcased on a realistic set with models, including actor John Turturro, strolling through in a mix of deconstructed blazers, washed Oxford suits, and cashfur-collared overcoats.

Designer Alessandro Sartori’s vision for the Zegna man was one who is not confined by age, as both Gen-Zers and Boomers were well-represented on the runway. The collection featured a mix of earthy tones, such as fossile, ginepro, and dark foliage, inspired by the natural moodboard of the Australian outback.

But despite the natural setting, the Zegna man was still dressed for success, sporting thick loafers as a nod to the label’s Italian roots. The collection’s final act paid homage to the city of Turin, known for its bustling business district and home to much of Italy’s automotive industry.

Sartori summed up the collection as having a “quintessentially ‘Torinese’ feel,” with its cultured attitude and effortless Italian style. Check out the gallery above for a closer look at Zegna’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection and stay tuned to Hypebeast for more coverage of Milan Fashion Week.
