LOEWE Brings “Crafted World” Exhibition to Tokyo in Spring 2025
After a successful debut in Shanghai last Spring, LOEWE has announced that its first major brand exhibition, “Crafted World,” will be coming to Tokyo in Spring 2025. This highly anticipated showcase will feature original pieces from the LOEWE archive as well as recent collections designed by Jonathan Anderson. But it’s not just about the fashion – the exhibition will also delve into the brand’s story, heritage, and collaborations.
In a statement shared with WWD, LOEWE stated, “The exhibition transports the audience from the sights and sounds of Spain to the front row of the Paris runway, and, in a series of interactive rooms, inside the visionary imaginations that have inspired Loewe’s recent collections – including those of Studio Ghibli and the Kyoto-based ceramics studio Suna Fujita.”
A Journey Through LOEWE’s History and Artistic Collaborations
With a history spanning 179 years, LOEWE’s “Crafted World” exhibition will take visitors on a journey through the brand’s past, present, and future. From the streets of Spain to the runways of Paris, guests will get an inside look at the meticulous processes and artisanal craftsmanship behind LOEWE’s collections. The preview imagery showcases some of the highlights, including a bespoke trompe l’oeil body suit worn by Beyoncé at the Renaissance World Tour and actress Taylor Russell’s stunning wooden bodice gown worn at the 2024 Met Gala.
Expanding Presence in the Asia-Pacific Region
LOEWE has been steadily increasing its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, with new store openings in countries like South Korea and the Philippines. But it’s not just about brick and mortar – the luxury brand has also been making strategic marketing moves, such as collaborating with Japanese names like Studio Ghibli and introducing Chinese stars like Wang Yibo as ambassadors. LOEWE also made a splash at Frieze Seoul’s art festival.
Free Admission for Tokyo Visitors
The “Crafted World” exhibition will be open to the public from March 29 to May 11, 2025, and admission is free with a reservation. Don’t miss your chance to experience the world of LOEWE and its rich history and collaborations.
