Sundae School Celebrates Lunar New Year with New Capsule Collection
Sundae School, the popular Asian-American fashion label, is back with its first capsule collection of 2025 to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Led by designer Dae Lim, the brand’s “Boba Fleece” is the highlight of the Year of the Snake range, showcasing Sundae School’s unique approach to embracing and reimagining cultural heritage.
In an exclusive interview with Hypebeast, Lim emphasized the importance of staying true to the brand’s roots while also pushing boundaries and starting important conversations. “We want to honor our heritage while moving it forward. We’re breaking some of the rules that our ancestors set up for us, but that’s part of the process. You have to break in order to rebuild,” Lim stated.
The Lunar New Year capsule includes the Boba Fleece, a new version of Sundae School’s signature cropped fleece with boba flowered sleeves. The collection also features bedazzled hoodies, an Asymmetric Zip-Up Jacket in two colorways, logoed beanies, and a Mochi Lighter Case.
