New Balance’s 1906L “Rich Oak” Set to Drop This January
Get ready for the latest addition to New Balance’s 1906L hybrid loafer family – the “Rich Oak” colorway. While early images of this warm-toned brown suede variant surfaced in 2024, the official release is finally expected to arrive this January.
This new colorway is a departure from previous versions, as it features a full suede upper with no mesh details. The signature heel counter adds a touch of synthetic material, creating a nice contrast with the hairy suede. The shoe sits on a black rubber sole with sleek embossed lines, similar to its counterparts.
As with other 1906L models, this one also includes the “N-ergy” tag on the midsoles, a 1906L graphic on the side, and New Balance word marks on the back and toe box. Recent online sightings have also revealed other colorways, such as “Silver Metallic,” “Silver Metallic/Black,” and “Silver Metallic/Navy/Dark Juniper,” which is set to drop on January 15.
In addition to the “Rich Oak” colorway, a black suede version has also been spotted, hinting at more cozy loafer styles to come from the Boston-based brand. While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, stay tuned to Hypebeast for updates on this highly anticipated drop.
